Former UFC fighter and BKFC star ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol in Florida.

According to a report from MMA Junkie, Perry was taken into custody in the early morning hours of October 12 by the Clermont Police Department about 25 miles west of Orlando. He was booked into jail at 4:36 a.m. and was released roughly five hours later after posting a $1,500 bond.

Perry was said to have been driving 20 MPH over the posted speed limit when he was pulled over. The officer who pulled Perry over said he smelled alcohol, but the ‘King of Violence’ denied he had been drinking. When the officer told Perry that “his speech sounded slow,” Perry responded that the officer’s “speech was fast.” Perry refused to take a sobriety test multiple times before he was arrested and transported to the Clermont Police Department.

While there, Perry refused to take a breath test and sign the DUI citation, which led to a second charge of refusing to sign a citation requiring a court appearance.

Perry is due in court at 8 a.m. on Oct. 30.

Mike Perry Became the Face of Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship Before Being ‘Fired’ by Conor McGregor

After spending five years as a middling talent in the UFC’s welterweight division, Mike Perry made the move to bare-knuckle and quickly became the face of BKFC with wins over a slew of ex-MMA stars, including Michael ‘Venom’ Page, Luke Rockhold, Eddie Alvarez, and Thiago Alves.

Perry’s most recent appearance came inside the squared circle when he squared off with Jake Paul in a boxing bout. ‘The Problem Child’ came out on top, TKO’ing Perry in the sixth round.

Following the loss, BKFC part-owner Conor McGregor publicly “fired” Perry, but ‘Mystic Mac’ claims the two are once again in negotiations.

“Mike is fired, but we’re in negotiation,” McGregor said this past weekend. “Redneck Mundell called him out. He’s been afraid of Mundell. We had to give him a little cherry-pick-made title in the ‘King of Violence’ or whatever you call it. But he was never a world champion, and he’s afraid of Mundell, the Redneck Mundell. He’s called him out. Now let’s see what Perry responds.”
