BJ Penn challenges GSP to a fight at lightweight, so his own fans attack him and tell him it’s a bad idea

BJ Penn has emerged from the waters of Hilo with a message. After going radio silent following his USADA bust and getting booted off the UFC 199 card, Penn feels the need to call-out an old rival. Sean Sherk? Jens Pulver? Matt Hughes? Nope, Penn has gone back to his 2008 form and called out allegedly unretired welterweight GOAT Georges St-Pierre.

(Editor’s Note: Penn is 0-2 versus St-Pierre)

This time Penn wants GSP to fight him at 155 pounds and he wants the Canadian to fight at UFC 205; the promotion’s first event in New York City. 37 year old Penn versus 35 year old GSP but this time at lightweight? If Penn gets his wish that’s the new fight he wants the most.

Moments after Penn tweeted out the call-out to his former conqueror an entire legion of the “BJ Penn dot com” Internet rushed to remind The Prodigy this was in fact an absolutely horrible idea. The cult of BJ Penn is rallying against their savior!
