Beck's Sapphire really wants you to watch this video of a fish singing 'No Diggity'

If you’re anything like me (and I know you are), then you’ve undoubtedly pulled your hair over the concept of Beck’s naming their new beer ‘Sapphire’ when the colors on the bottle are just red and black. I’ve played enough RPG and action-adventure games to know that sapphire is obviously a sparking blue and you can sell it to merchants for 100 gold and (or) enchant armor with it. There’s clearly a ruby on the bottle with a key inside and a smiley face underneath. It’s the strangest emoticon in the history of the world.

According to Beck, their new beer is brewed with a rare German Sapphire (Saphir) hop. The distinctive black bottle took engineers over two years to create, enabling the beer to be better protected from all the nastiness that light can do to a beverage. As always, in accordance with the German Purity Law of 1516, Beck’s only consists of only four natural ingredients, and ‘love’ is not one of them — that’s just a given.

Beck’s really wants the MiddleEasy audience to watch the following video of their Superbowl ad, so don’t let them down. Enjoy a Beck’s Sapphire while you’re at it (if you’re over 21-years-old, of course).{jcomments off}
