Baltimore’s Police Department challenged the Firefighters to a good old fashioned cage match

It looks like Ray Lewis was right about the relationship between crime and football. Earlier in the year, the Baltimore Ravens linebacker said that if the league stayed closed and no games were played, then crime would rise dramatically. Well, the league opened, so now it’s time to add to that theory. I think that since this years NFL season has been so great and injury ridden, the majority of criminals are stuck inside playing the waiver wire in an attempt to fill in their RB/WR slot for their fantasy team. Now the cops have literally nothing to do.

Nothing to do but fight firefighters for charity.

Last Friday the Baltimore Police took on the Baltimore Fire Department in MMA cage matches that featured an equal amount of wild entrances and finishes. We have seventeen minutes of footage below.

I have to admit, I never thought I would see a Baltimore homicide detective rolled out in a giant Chinese food container while rocking a glittery suit in a post 9/11 (and post The Wire) society.
