UFC Bantamweight Champion Aljamain Sterling and Marlon “Chito” Vera have given their response to Henry Cejudo being pulled from UFC 292.
Cejudo was expected to meet Marlon “Chito” Vera inside TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts on August 19. UFC President Dana White told ESPN that the fight was a done deal, but Cejudo quickly told fans that he didn’t know if he’d be able to recover from a shoulder issue in time to compete at UFC 292. Ultimately, he won’t be ready to go as he has pulled out of the card.

“Well, f***,” Vera said bluntly.
Aljamain Sterling Slams Henry Cejudo
As for Sterling’s reaction, the “Funk Master” had a bit more to say about Cejudo on his YouTube channel. Aljamain Sterling made it clear that he hasn’t forgotten about Cejudo name-calling him when he didn’t know if he could fight Sean O’Malley due to his own injuries.
“You remember that, guys? The savage? Texting Dana saying that, ‘If that little p**** doesn’t want to fight, I’ll take the fight,’ Sterling said. “Isn’t it funny how the roles are reversed now and this little savage is no longer a savage? Very interesting, and for me, I call that being a dirty little weasel.”
Sterling, who will be headlining UFC 292, made it clear that he thinks Cejudo was putting on a front the entire time.
“You look like an ass clown trying to pretend to be something that you’re not,” Sterling said.
During the video where he announced the Vera fight is off, Cejudo said it’ll be a 6-8 week recovery process if he does therapy correctly. He also mentioned that he wants to fight Sterling’s teammate Merab Dvalishvili.
