In the world of button mashing and impressive videogame performances, Dead or Alive and the Tekken franchise are relatively the same. In fact, the last time Ben Fowlkes and I got down on Tekken Tag, I attribute his domination over me solely to his inept ability to violently smash a lot of buttons on his controller. Ben Fowlkes fighting style in Tekken and Dead or Alvie is entirely too chaotic for practical use. It’s the equivalent of a little kid furiously trying to pop an entire roll of bubble wrap inside the confine of a library. Granted, Ben Fowlkes destroyed LayzieTheSavage and I prior to UFC 148 at virtually every 3D fighting game (aside from Mortal Kombat). I have no excuse for it. It’s just an existential part of my reality now.
Hopefully when the new Dead or Alive 5 comes out, I will be able to polish my button smashing abilities to exact revenge. Check out this newly released video of a new character named ‘Mila’ that appears to be modeled after Gina Carano. There’s also some pretty slick MMA moves in the video after the jump.
