There are stages that everyone goes through with YouTube comments. First stage is anger — this happens to everyone. You see comments so stupid that you can’t subdue your anger and then you dedicate the next 30 minutes of your life to constructing a response so precise that you feel as if you’ll be crowned king of the internet. Then comes the ignoring stage. You vow never to look at YouTube comments even if it will benefit you in someway. Finally comes the stage of acceptance, you accept the abortion that is YouTube comments and at times you can even make light of it.
I’m glad I’ve reached the point where I can enjoy YouTube comments for what they are. I can’t tell you how much fun it is to watch the UFC’s live YouTube comments during the prelims. They’re are more interesting than the actual fight.
