You may know Terry Crews from the TV show ‘Everybody Hates Chris’ and The Expendables franchise, but the greatest role of his acting career actually happened in 2006 with Mike Judd’s ‘Idiocracy.’ It’s the story of a guy accidentally falling into a time machine and going 500 years into the future, a point in which humanity’s IQ level has dumbed down due to really stupid people reproducing rapidly while educated people did the exact opposite. When the guy emerges 500 years in the future, the people of Earth see him as the smartest person on the planet and manages to save the world by stopping farmers from using an energy drink to nourish their crops.
Seven years ago it seemed like an outlandish idea, but in reality it’s happening right now. That movie isn’t a comedy. It’s one of the scariest horror films ever made.
One of the highlights of Idiocracy is Terry Crews playing President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho (or President Camacho for short). His performance is so splendid that we hoped his character would return in another FOX movie. Thus far, we’ve been let down. Now that Terry Crews plays Major Lazer in the new Major Lazer video, we’ve forgotten all about President Camacho.
Just kidding. President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho is still a bad ass.
