A man claiming to be related to Tyron Woodley is alleging that the former UFC welterweight champion was paid to take a dive against Jake Paul

After scoring a split decision against ‘The Chosen One’ in August 2021, the two would run it back four months later in Tampa, Florida. This time around, Paul landed a booming right hook in the sixth round that rendered Woodley unconscious. Though the knockout was nothing short of spectacular, not everyone was convinced that it was real.

Ahead of Paul’s highly anticipated clash with ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson on November 15, a man identifying himself as the long-lost cousin of Tyron Woodley claimed that ‘The Chosen One’ had been paid to take the fall against Paul during their December 2021 rematch.

“If it’s paid off, Jake Paul. If not, Mike Tyson is gonna knock him out,” the alleged Woodley claimed. “Tyron Woodley is my literal cousin. My name is Julian Woodley. I know for a fact that [he] got paid to take the [fall].”

Tyron Woodley Responds to Comments From His ‘Cousin’

A little bit of internet sleuthing revealed that the man in the above video clip is in fact named Julian Woodley. However, Tyron Woodley was quick to dispell claims of a familial connection with the otherwise unknown individual.

“N**** wish he was my kinfolk,” Woodley wrote in response.

The loss against Paul was Woodley’s sixth-straight dating back to his UFC days. He has not competed since.
