- Mike Tyson believes Dana White’s UFC approach is perfect for boxing
- The boxing legend thinks he might smoke weed and enter the ring high against Jake Paul
Mike Tyson is thrilled about what UFC president Dana White could do to boxing and isn’t ruling out the possibility of being high during his fight with Jake Paul.
Tyson thinks Dana is perfect for boxing
Speaking on It Is What It Is podcast, “Iron Mike” shared his honest thoughts on White’s plan to get involved in boxing in the near future. For Tyson, White’s influence would be “the best thing” that could ever happen to boxing as his approach to UFC would put the sport back on the map.
“That’s going to be the best thing to happen to boxing just like UFC,” Tyson said of White. “If you’re in UFC and if anybody’s booing the fight, you’re not going to see that guy. His next fight is going to be in South Dakota somewhere. Only good fights.”
“If you don’t have a good fight, you ain’t never going to see that guy again. Not like boxing. ‘This guy’s going to fight next month again? We don’t want to see that.’ If any fights stink, you’re not back in the UFC no more. You’re never going to see those guys again,” he explained.
Tyson might smoke on fight night
In a separated interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Tyson said he isn’t regularly smoking weed as of late, especially now that he’s been training for his upcoming fight with “The Problem Child.”
“Will you be high when you fight Jake Paul?” During a recent appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” host Jimmy Kimmel posed the question to Tyson.
“I’m gonna be so high off life, yeah,” Tyson responded.
“Not really. I have smoked,” Tyson admitted. “But not any time soon.”
However, when Kimmel asked if he would be high off marijuana when he steps inside the ring with Paul, the boxing legend said there’s a good chance.
“That’s a possibility, too,” Tyson answered.
Paul vs. Tyson will take place on November 15th at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas. It is expected to be one of the biggest fights of the year as it would also be streamed live and free on Netflix.
