- Sean Strickland lashed out at Khamzat Chimaev’s alleged connection with terrorists
- “Tarzan” said fighters are likely to suffer more serious brain damage in boxing than MMA
Sean Strickland hit out at Khamzat Chimaev and declares boxing as a more dangerous sport than MMA.
Borz shouldn’t be in America
As “Tarzan” awaits his potential title fight rematch with Dricus du Plessis, he aired his opinion on “Borz,” who is set to face Robert Whittaker in a title eliminator bout at UFC 308.
According to Strickland, people, including the UFC, tend to forget that Chimaev has alleged ties with terrorists and should not be allowed to enter the United States.
“I love how the world just over looks this guys past… Builds a life in Sweden, goes and becomes best friends with an absolute monster who pretty much bought him like a W.. then when the leash got too tight he fled to the Middle East…. You should not be allowed in this country. You [sold] your soul to a terrorist dictator… You are not compatible with America.. Thank god we don’t do drone strikes in that part of the sand pit… Sick of the UFC forgetting it’s an American company,” Strickland wrote.
“Lmao now buy a crypto scam with my name on it,” he added.
Sean Strickland just went OFF on Khamzat Chimaev 😳

Boxing is more lethal than MMA
Apart from coming up with bold accusations on Chimaev, Strickland also shared his thoughts on the dangers of boxing and MMA. As per the former UFC middleweight champion, both combat sports cause brain damage but a fighter is very likely to incur some serious ones in boxing than MMA.
“Boxers and MMA fighters always argue which sport takes more brain damage lol,” Strickland wrote on X. “Two autistic people competing to be less autistic lol! But as a man who trains at a high level in both, boxing takes way way way way way way more brain damage.”

Strickland secured a split decision win over Paulo Costa in his last fight at UFC 302. UFC president Dana White previously confirmed that “Tarzan” is getting the title shot but things may still go the other way, considering the winner of Whittaker vs. Chimaev is also earning a crack at UFC gold.
