  • Ian Garry opened up about signing with Jake Paul’s company despite being an admittedly avid Conor McGregor fan
  • “The Future” hinted at some upcoming projects with “The Problem”

Ian Garry is busy gearing up for his UFC 292 showdown with Neil Magny. However, he still found time to talk about his recent partnership with Jake Paul’s company, Betr despite being a huge fan of one of the YouTuber-turned-boxing star’s online rivals, Conor McGregor.

Ian cares less about Conor and Jake’s Feud

Speaking to Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, “The Future” pointed out that just because McGregor and Paul have been feuding for quite some time now doesn’t mean he couldn’t do business with either of them.

“Look, I have said this before. I am Conor’s biggest fan. I am literally the first fighter of a generation to make it to the UFC because of Conor’s rise,” Garry began. “What they wanna do and what they have and their personal beef has nothing to do with it. If you have two friends that don’t get on, if you have two people that know they don’t get on, you can still be friends with both. You can still do business with both, you can still talk to both, you can still go to both of their houses and have dinner. What they have has nothing to do with me. That’s called being an adult [Laugs].”

“I don’t want to get in between two people. You do your sh*t. If you guys don’t like it should have f**k it. You be you, I’m being me,” he added.

Collaboration coming Soon

Garry also revealed that his recent signing with Paul’s company also meant that they would be linking up for some “creative content” in the future.

“Let’s just say that two very disruptive people are colliding to do business together and work together. I have joined the Betr team, so we’re gonna be doing a lot of creative content, a lot of disruption gonna come of it,” Garry said.

Garry has been unbeaten as a pro and is coming off a sensational first-round TKO win over Daniel Rodriguez at UFC Charlotte. He is originally slated to face Geoff Neal at UFC 292 but “Handz of Steel” was forced to pull out due to an injury. He was then replaced by Magny, who stepped in on short notice.
