BKFC president David Feldman is confident about Conor McGregor eventually transitioning to bare-knuckle boxing.

Conor will fight at BKFC

Speaking to MMA Fighting, Feldman boldly addressed McGregor’s situation with the UFC and BKFC. According to the BKFC boss, it’s true that “Notorious” still has two fights remaining in his current UFC deal but at the same time, McGregor is also serious about fighting at BKFC.

Feldman noted that a UFC-BKFC co-promotion starring McGregor will never happen but one thing he is sure of is that the former two-division champ is “100%” making his BKFC debut soon.

“The UFC doesn’t need us. Like, they don’t need us. We need a co-pro with them. They don’t need a co-pro with us, which would be phenomenal. They’re not going to do it. They’re not going to do it. If they do Conor McGregor in anything, they don’t have to do a co-pro with us, but that being said, I mean, unless he’s the best salesman in the world, the talks that we’ve had it’s like, ‘I’m fighting here,’” Feldman said. “I’m like, ‘Yeah, OK.’ He (said), ‘I’m fighting here.’

“I go, ‘Why wouldn’t you fight here?’ Because you have equity in the company and if you fight here, you’ll probably make more money than anywhere else in the world because of what it’s going to do for the company. So I truly believe what you said. I think 100 percent he fights here,” he added.

Conor hinted at his BKFC debut

Ever since McGregor became a part owner of BKFC, he has been flirting with the idea of competing in the top-tier bare-knuckle promotion. There was a buzz about a potential match with Mike Perry but before that, “Notorious” seems to be focused on making his much-awaited UFC return.

However, McGregor hinted at his BKFC debut when he announced the collaboration of BKFC and DAZN. As per the Irish MMA superstar, the partnership will be responsible for pulling off massive events and he might also be competing in one of those.

Until then, McGregor believes he could finally return in 2025 and hopefully fight twice that year under the UFC banner.
