A MMA fight with a game of paper, rock, scissors to start out? This may be the evolution of chess boxing. Just when we thought we’ve seen it all in MMA, our friends up in Alaska get one over on us.
On Wednesday (Sept. 21) night, Alaska Fighting Championships held their 141st event. The card was only seven fights deep per Tapolgy but it did include an actual MMA fight with a game of paper, rock, scissors. After that, what else could we ask for?
Weird stuff happens in Alaska and sometimes the rest of the US doesn’t really want to know about it. You do you Alaska and we won’t judge down here in the lower 49 states. The northern lights make you do some out of the box stuff but we’re cool with starting a MMA fight with a game of paper, rock, scissors.
We’d like to see Candyland kickboxing, Battleship jiu-jitsu and Jenga Karate as our combat sports taste continue to evolve. We’re working with a refined palate here.
Also we have no idea who these two dudes are but they are heroes and pioneers of our great sport. Let the record show scissors still beats paper.
