Archive.org recently launched ‘Console Living Room’ – a collection of games from 70s and 80s consoles

What was the first console you owed? I remember owning was what we called the Atari 64, but everyone else knows as the Atari Jaguar. Billed as the first 64-bit game console, the Atari Jaguar had some games I remember as being amazing, like Rayman, Brutal Sports Football and Attack of the Mutant Penguins. I’m sure we also had a SNES and I remember seeing a Duck Tales NES cartridge, but the first I owned was a Master System. Shinobi totally kicked my ass!

I’m not old enough to have owned an Atari 2600 or anything like that, but if you are then you can now bask in the nostalgia over at Archive.org where they’ve set up a console living room. You can access almost 1000 games from consoles such as Atari 2600, Atari 7800, Colecovision, Magnavox Odyssey and the Astrocase. I have no idea what those last three are but if you remember them, pop over to the console living room and boot up some games in your browser. It does specify that you need a modern browser so I assume all versions of Internet Explorer are out. Also, there is no sound at present, but they are working on it. Until then, just make your own.
