So you’re telling an entire generation that was raised on heavily-dubbed Kung-Fu flicks that Gina Carano’s voice may have been dubbed in a martial arts movie and you sincerely expect us to care? That’s a comment I would write if I read this article and the blatantly obvious wasn’t pointed out. Sure it may be weird to not hear Gina Carano’s real voice in the upcoming movie ‘Haywire,’ but there’s other things in life to stress over — like what happened with all those chicks in the ‘Party Time’ scene in Sega CD’s ‘Night Trap?’ Despite what you assume, you have to grasp the reality that you don’t truly know what exactly happened to them. Those chicks may still be dancing in a living room in the ’90s for all we know. Night Trap taught me in order to have a good time, one must have a ‘feisty’ friend that has a high inclination to sing into the bottom of a tennis racket.
According to TMZ, a source close to the production of ‘Haywire’ clams the producers didn’t like Gina Carano’s voice and most likely dubbed her voice with another female.
“Sources connected with the production tell TMZ … the folks behind the movie didn’t like the way Carano sounded when they filmed the flick … so they changed it in post. It’s unclear if they used fancy electronics to alter Gina’s vocal quality, or whether they dubbed in another female voice.”
Sound is overrated anyway. You can’t hear this picture of Gina Carano, but it does not negate the rawesomeness of it. You don’t even know what I sound like. I could have a Norwegian accent. Think about that. [Source]
