Contrary to what some may have come to believe over their years of MMA fandom, Dana White is not the God of MMA. As a matter of fact he is not even the God of the UFC. Calm down, I’m not trying to turn your world inside out and drop any life changing spiritual enlightenment on you, this is just something Dana himself wants us all to know. He is not the be all end all of the UFC and the UFC is nothing like an overly dependant emo and possibly suicidal Bono serenading Dana with ‘With or Without You’ lyrics of desperation and hopelessness.
I’m not sure why Dana felt the need to really open up and share this information with all of us. Maybe it was the recent passing of Apple founder Steve Jobs. Maybe he watched ‘Kung Fu Panda’ and was moved by the passing of Grand Master Oogway. He wants to ensure all of his disciples of UFC that they are strong and skilled enough to survive when the time comes for him to ascend into the heavens amongst the peach blossom petals just like Oogway leaves Master Shifu and the Furious Five.
