Anderson Silva retiring in 2010-2011; fighting Roy Jones Jr. after.

So if you’re reading this then you probably know how MiddleEasy.com loves to jump the gun on rumored stories (that 99% of the time turn out to be true). Truth be told, D**k Starscream Grayson found a relatively cheap flux capicitor on Craigslist a few months ago and after attaching it to his Nissan Sentra, we’ve been able to traverse the fabric of time and space in order to bring you all news that hasn’t even happened yet. Currently, I’ve promised Paul Wilson from our facebook profile that if the story of Fedor signing with UFC and fighting Brock is wrong, I’ll send him a box of Ramen noodles. See, I keep it real…real thrifty.

With this story, there will be no retraction (like we even know what that means) because it originated straight from Anderson Silva himself. Check out what Fighter’s Only managed to extract from the mouth of Silva:

“It is undoubted that I will face Roy Jones. We have talked too much, have signed some contracts and we want to make it the sooner the better. It’s not for money or spotlight, it’s for my desire. Before that UFC is my focus. Dana treats me very well, as do all the staff of the organization. However I have to search what is better for myself. The UFC middleweight champion says he is “very satisfied with my results [in the UFC] and I want to continue this way until the end of my contract”.

Stating that he will retire when the contract is completed, he explained the thinking behind his decision to Gazeta de Povo.

“I have other projects and wish to get closer to my children,” he said. “Maybe I will open a school in Curitiba to give the opportunity to students and friends and pass them my experiences of fighting as a coach.”

Keep in mind MiddleEasy.com broke this story nearly 3 months ago. That flux capicitor has really been been paying off. I’ll give you a heads up, that dream you’ve been having of hooking up with Gina Carano…yeah, that’s never going to happen (we checked). [Source]
