Gangster respects gangster. It takes a lot to floor Chael Sonnen but comedian Joey “Coco” Diaz managed to do just that the first time the two met in person. Sonnen mouth agape, chin on the floor, in tears is the only way to describe the former UFC middleweight title contender after his first encounter with Diaz. The mad flavor is strong in this one.
On the 95h episode of Sonnen’s “You’re Welcome” podcast, he was finally introduced to Diaz and had him on as a guest. Words do not do justice to what happened when Chael met Coco. As Sonnen describes interviewing Diaz for the first time to Joe Rogan, the only way to recreate this type of life magic is through an animated cartoon.
