  • Alex Pereira sent Jiri Prochazka a heartfelt message after their rematch at UFC 303
  • “Poatan” verbally agreed to take on Jamahal Hill in a rematch as well

Alex Pereira talked about Jiri Prochazka and Jamahal Hill following his UFC 303 victory.

No bad blood

Speaking to the media in his post-UFC 303 presser, “Poatan” showed class and remarkable sportsmanship towards “BJP.” Despite knocking Prochazka out with a vicious head kick, Pereira wished the best for both of them in they move on from their rivalry.

“I know he talks a lot about spirituality. Just so he knows, the same god that blessed us is the one that protects us. I pray a lot for him and for me to be well after this fight,” Pereira said through a translator.

Alex responds to Jamahal

Shortly after Pereira finished Prochazka in their rematch, Hill congratulated the Brazilian and called for a rematch as well.

As expected, “Poatan” did not leave “Sweet Dreams” hanging but he gave the former light heavyweight champion a short yet profound response.

“Okay,” Pereira simply replied to Hill’s latest callout.

Two months ago, Pereira knocked Hill out in their title fight at UFC 300. Since then, “Sweet Dreams” has been expressing his desire to run it back with “Poatan.”

On the other hand, Prochazka got the rematch after bouncing back from his TKO loss to Pereira at UFC 295 with a TKO win of his own over Aleksandar Rakic at UFC 300.

As it stands, Pereira has now defended his light heavyweight title twice and it’s safe to say, his plan to move up to heavyweight is still on.
