Jorge Masvidal talked about his desire to face Conor McGregor in boxing and his disappointment over Herb Dean’s refereeing skills.

Jorge wants Conor sooner rather than later

Speaking to George Janko podcast, “Gamebred” claimed that the UFC had tried to book him against “Notorious” but apart from some issues with their weight classes, McGregor didn’t want to fight him. Nevertheless, Masvidal is ready to move on and would love to take on McGregor in boxing soon.

“The UFC offered it too many times… That always been like, they offer me to him and he shuts it down, he never mentioned my names in interviews… I would fight him now,” Masvidal said of McGregor.

In the same interview, Masvidal also criticized Dean over his seemingly poor judgment on Colby Covington’s eye poke at UFC 272. For “Gamebred,” Dean is easily one of the worst officials in MMA history.

“The eye-poke? Oh 100% [Covington intended it]. It was a good f**king eye-poke because after the fight I was seeing double vision,” Masvidal recounted. “Herb Dean and me have never f**king gotten along and I think he’s also one of the worst referees that’s ever existed. He makes too many mistakes at a high level. I think he’s a great person outside of the refereeing but… he’s always had these weird calls,” Masvidal said.

Masvidal has long been accusing McGregor of ducking him. Now that the Irish MMA superstar is no longer fighting at UFC 303, “Gamebred” believes that Mcgregor could have ample time to recover and face him inside the ring.

Until then, Masvidal needs to focus at present as he is set to face Nate Diaz in a boxing match on July 6 at the Kia Forum in LA, California.
