By some miracle of UFC public relations, Conan O'Brien agreed to have a fighter not named Conor McGregor or Ronda Rousey on his TBS late night talk show. In an effort to hype up the return of French Canada's greatest hero, the UFC thought it would be a good idea to have Michael Bisping disparage George St-Pierre on national TV as a steroid cheat. Pure genius. Let's watch. I can't believe no one has pulled Bisping aside and told him to shut the fuck up. The company is just rebounding from the potential GOAT and UFC Light Heavyweight champion Jon Jones ruining his career via steroids. And now, in their next mainstream fight card, Michael Bisping is yapping about the beloved and well respected George St-Pierre being a steroid cheat. How could you be that tone deaf? But the best part of this video isn't watching Michael Bisping make a fool of himself. Although, that is pretty great. The best part is how quickly Conan identifies the exact reason hardcore fans don't care about this fight. Conan pushes aside all the bullshit, fake beef Bisping had been laying on throughout the interview with a single comment. As he wraps the interview and laughs at Bisping's 180 degree attitude shift, he recognizes just how inauthentic this match up is. At the end of the day, we all know there is no animosity here, no heat. Even Conan can tell. This fight is so cold, even the marks can sniff it out. But GSP is legend, and so I'm sure it will sell just fine. I worry not for the financial future of the common WME shareholder. George will not let them down. Let's all just hope Bisping brushes up on some new material for the final promotional push into UFC 217. Otherwise, I may permanently damage my jaw from a week's worth of cringing.
