  • Sean O’Malley is very open to taking part in the UFC’s plan to get involved in boxing
  • “Suga” is eyeing a showdown with Devin Haney and is betting $1 million on himself for the match
  • The former bantamweight champ also gave an update about his surgery

Sean O’Malley couldn’t wait to see what UFC president Dana White is working on in boxing and wants to take on Devin Haney. The former champ also discussed his upcoming surgery.

Sean badly wants Haney

Speaking on his official YouTube channel, “Suga” enthusiastically talked about how excited he is for the UFC’s forthcoming involvement in boxing. As expected, O’Malley already got his eyes locked on Haney, who previously criticized him over his UFC 306 loss to Merab Dvalishvili.

According to O’Malley, he’ll bet a million dollars on himself against Haney and they could do it even without rules and time limit.

“Dana white said they’ve never committed to boxing and when they commit to something, they go all-in. And I’m all-in on boxing. That’s exciting. Me vs. Merab in boxing? [laughs] Jokes. But that’s f**king exciting. I feel like I got five, six more good years in me. If the UFC is going to do something with boxing, I would love to f**king… That would be so fun. I love MMA. I love the wrestling aspect of MMA, I really do, I think it makes fighting so much sweeter,” O’Malley said.

“Boxers are f**king p***ies, dude. Devin Haney’s a b***h. He’s such a b***h. If Devin Haney wants to talk sh*t, if he really wants to fight, I’ll put a million dollars on me vs. him, no time limit, and we can fight. MMA rules, just a fight. Or we can do no rules, if you wanna f**king eye poke me you can. Do a real f**king fight. If you want to talk sh*t on Twitter, we can really, really actually fight. Just don’t talk sh*t,” he ranted.

Sean gives update on his surgery

O’Malley suffered a hip injury after UFC 306 and has already decided to spend a long time recovering. His surgery will take place on Oct. 3rd and he is certain about taking a lengthy break before making his UFC return.

“I have surgery October 3rd.  I’m excited about the whole (thing).  I just kind of mentally accepted it,” O’Malley said.  “I just mentally accepted, alright, we’re going to go through surgery.  Go through recovery and just get ‘er done.  I’m actually really f**king excited because it’s been bothering me… I’m going to take two, three months of full just physically therapy.  Recovery like a f**king pro.  Eat good.  Sleep good,” O’Malley continued.  “I’m excited.  (I’m) 29.  By the time I fight again I’ll be 30.  I think 30 to 35 I’ll be in my prime.  We’ve got a lot of years left and big fights.”

It has become apparent that O’Malley has no plans of cutting his rest short. However, things may take a huge turnaround, depending on how serious “Suga” is about getting into boxing.
