Sean O’Malley squashed his beef with Conor McGregor and the former UFC two-division champ wants to him to train in Ireland.

Sean wants the best for Conor

McGregor expressed his support for O’Malley in a previous live stream and “Suga” returned the favor by ending their little online feud. According to the former bantamweight champion, he has and would always look up to McGregor and he only wanted the best for his idol.

“Conor and I going back and forth here or there, whatever. At the end of the day, he played an important role in my career. So, he’ll always will be inspiration to me at some point. Right now I wouldn’t say he necessarily is. I think there’s a lot more going on behind-the-scenes about Conor than people know, people speculate… I would like to, personally, as a fan, see him come back… You hope, he’s just like, doing okay… He has a big family now, a bunch of kids, and I hope he’s doing well,” O’Malley said on Join The Lobby podcast.

Conor offers to set up Sean’s training camp in Ireland

O’Malley’s kind words did not go unnoticed. Shortly after hearing what “Suga” said, “Notorious” offered to help O’Malley in training. In a now-deleted post on X, McGregor pledged to have O’Malley trained by his longtime coach John Kavanagh in the famous SBG camp in Ireland.

“Sean is a fighting legend! UFC champion and an incredible superstar! I would love, love, love to see, and I can set it up fully, himself and his long time coach, Tim Welch, do a stint in Ireland. A 4 week run at SBG Ireland under Johns coaching and I am telling you he would regain his title,” McGregor wrote. “He has a shot at regaining it still for sure, but for himself and for his coach to spend a good month, to begin with, not a long time, but a good solid month under coach Kav at SBG and they would take heaps of knowledge back with them and onward to regain the Gold. I would love to see it.”

O’Malley lost his bantamweight title to Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 306 and vowed to take a lengthy break before bouncing back stronger. On the other hand, McGregor confirmed that he is making his UFC return in February next year against Dan Hooker.
