Gina Carano recently shared some exciting news about her lawsuit against Disney after staying quiet for quite some time.

Once a star in the world of mixed martial arts, Carano has successfully made the jump to acting, appearing in popular movies and shows. However, her journey hasn’t always been easy, especially for the 42-year-old actress.

Earlier this year, Elon Musk showed his support for Carano, suggesting that she should pursue legal action against Disney over the way she was treated by the company.

Gina Carano Reveals Key Details About Her Lawsuit Against Disney

Today, Gina Carano shared some exciting news about her lawsuit. After months of hard work, the actress has announced that she has achieved a big win in her case.

“After the judge DENIED Disney’s request to DISMISS my case, Disney requested permission to immediately appeal that decision to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and delay all discovery while that appeal takes place.” Carano said on X.

“Yesterday, October 16th, 2024, we learned that the Judge DENIED Disney’s usual request.”

“I am obviously very pleased with the opportunity to keep moving forward with the judicial process and into discovery.”

“While I wish this was not necessary as it is not my desire to be in this battle in court, I will not shrink away from it because it is hard or uncomfortable.”

Gina Carano is happy to share that she has had a lot of success in her lawsuit. She feels thankful for everyone who is listening and caring about her situation.

In her message, Gina took a moment to express her appreciation to Elon Musk and all the people who have been there for her during this journey.

“Again, a huge thanks to ALL of you who have shown me support daily, to my incredible lawyers, and to Elon Musk and the people at X for the opportunity in continuing this lawsuit and seeking justice.”

Gina Carano gained a lot of fans for her character Cara Dune, a tough bounty hunter, in the first two seasons of The Mandalorian, a popular Star Wars show. During her time on the series, she often shared her thoughts on politics and memes on social media, which led to some debates among fans. Before the third season began, Disney made it clear that Gina wouldn’t be back to play Cara Dune anymore.

Gina Carano says in her lawsuit that she faced unfair treatment. She believes that her male co-star, Pedro Pascal, didn’t get in trouble for his political posts on social media, while she did. Because of this, she’s asking for at least $75,000 to make up for the trouble it caused her.
