- Alex Pereira’s sister Aline won her maiden Karate Combat fight via first-round knockout
- Aline said she learned how to throw a hard left hook from her brother
Alex Pereira’s younger sister Aline scored a quick knockout win in her Karate Combat debut.
KO win a la Alex
Aline stunned the crowd at Karate Combat 50 which took place at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah this past Friday. The Brazilian took on Dee Begley and finished the fight via first-round knockout with a devastating left hook, followed by some hard hammer fists.
Aline decided to push through with the match despite Begley missing weight by four pounds. All told, it was a spectacular Karate Combat debut for the UFC light heavyweight champion’s sister.

Aline learned it from Alex
Right after knocking Begley out, Aline ran to her brother and the siblings celebrated the victory. Speaking after the fight, Aline proudly named her finishing move as their signature “Pereira left hook,” a punch Alex himself taught her.
“That’s the Pereira left hook. My big brother’s the one that showed me,” Aline said.
As it stands, Aline is 1-2 as an MMA fighter. The knockout win over Begley saw her making waves at Karate Combat. On the other hand, her older brother Alex had just defended his light heavyweight title against Khalil Rountree. Alex also secured a KO win in his last title fight.
