Anthony Joshua knocks Out Alexander Povetkin In 7th To Remain Undefeated
Anthony Joshua remains undefeated after putting a stop to Russian challenger Alexander Povetkin (34-1, 24 KOs) via seventh-round TKO win to retain his WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO titles on Saturday from Wembley Stadium in London, England.
The victory marked the 22nd consecutive win of Englishman’s illustrious career.
Joshua early on suffered a bloodied nose but remain poised in the early round. Englishman picks up the pace in the middle rounds. After absorbing shots from Povetkin, Joshua threw left hook straight right-hand combination twice that wobbles the Russian and sent him to the canvas. Povetkin Climbed slowly got to his feet, but Joshua hit with a flurry of punches culminating with another right hand that finally end the fight.
