Luke Rockhold Asks More Money For Chris Weidman Fight

Luke Rockhold: “Show Me The Right Contract, I Won’t Lose Money Fighting”

Luke Rockhold is one of the best submission specialists in UFC Middleweight division. His inverted triangle Kimura submission versus Tim Boetsch at UFC 172 is one of the most unusual moves ever seen. But he is also a model who has great incomes outside the cage.

Luke Rockhold has already defeated Chris Weidman at UFC 194 via TKO. Yet, there is a chance Rockhold Vs Weidman 2 won’t happen. UFC hopes for this fight at the UFC 230 PPV (pay-per-view) event on November 3, 2018, in Madison Square Garden, New York. But Rockhold stated his signature is not possible until he sees “the right contract”. (via MMAMania.com)

“No pen to paper,” Rockhold told MMA Junkie. “You’ve got to show me the right contract. I don’t need to do anything. Business is good. I’ve got a lot of things going on. When you show me the right contract, I’ll sign the right contract. These people need to get their contracts straight. Everything is good. I’m not going to (expletive) lose money fighting. I’m doing very well outside the cage.”

Luke Rockhold (16-4 MMA, 6-3 UFC) won only once in the last three matches. Rockhold lost the title at UFC 199 when Michael Bisping knocked him out cold. Rockhold rebounded back with a victory after finishing David Branch at UFC Fight Night 116. In his last fight, Luke Rockhold was defeated by Yoel Romero at UFC 221 via KO and lost a chance to win the interim title.

Chris Weidman (14-3 MMA, 10-3 UFC) has two losses in the last three fights. Yoel Romero finished the former four-time Middleweight champion at UFC 205. Gegard Mousasi did the same thing at UFC 210. The All-American finally earned a victory over Kelvin Gastelum at UFC On Fox 25. Yet, he didn’t fight more than a year due to an injury.

What do you think, will UFC offer more money? Is Rockhold Vs Weidman 2 happen or not? One thing is certain – Luke Rockhold isn’t Conor McGregor!
