Eddie Alvarez leaving Bellator has pretty much been the worst kept secret in MMA. Hell, Sherdog reported on him sneaking out of Viacom’s backdoor weeks ago. While we’ve been programmed these last few years to only hear bad news that undercuts our undying desire to see certain fights, our tears of hope and anticipation have too often been mixed with tears of sadness. But now, we have tears of joy – UFC 178 may not have DC vs Jones, but we will be given a bangemite sandwich in the form of Donald Cerrone vs Eddie Alvarez. For the record, all of the aforementioned tears taste delicious, especially when you dip the bangemite sandwich in them, like a sweet anjou sauce.
