Hulk Hogan is gone. The wrestling icon passed away at 71 years old on July 24, 2025. The sad news came from his home in Clearwater, Florida. TMZ Sports was the first to report the loss this morning.

Cause and Response to His Passing

Hogan suffered a cardiac arrest early today. Medics rushed to his house after a distress call.

Emergency crews arrived with police and EMTs. They carried Hogan on a stretcher to an ambulance, but he could not be saved.

Just weeks ago, his wife Sky denied coma rumors. She said his heart was strong while he recovered from surgeries.

TMZ Sports noted health concerns last month. Hogan was dealing with issues from a neck procedure in May.

Hogan’s Wrestling and Life Story

Hulk Hogan, born Terry Gene Bollea, started wrestling in 1977 in Florida. He joined WWE in 1983 and became a global star with his “Hulkamania” movement.

He won the WWE Championship six times, starting with a win over the Iron Sheik in 1984. His first reign lasted over four years, a record at the time.

In 1994, he moved to WCW and won the WCW World Heavyweight Championship six times. His longest reign there lasted 469 days, the longest in its history.

Hogan turned heel as “Hollywood” Hogan in 1996, leading the New World Order. This boosted WCW during the Monday Night Wars.

He returned to WWE in 2002, winning the Undisputed WWE Championship. Hogan entered the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005 and again in 2020 with the NWO.

Beyond wrestling, he acted in Rocky III and No Holds Barred. He hosted Hogan Knows Best and faced many surgeries from ring wear.

Hogan married Linda Claridge in 1983, divorcing in 2009, then Jennifer McDaniel from 2010 to 2021, and Sky Daily in 2023. He has kids Brooke and Nick.
