Were you thinking a woman cannot hit like a sledgehammer? You are wrong there are numerous high kick experts! Jenni Kivioja landed one of the most brutal high kicks en route to winning silver in a three day 8-woman tournament in the style of kickboxing superstar. That is why you always must keep your hands up!
The International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) just held its 2018 Senior European Championships in Bucharest, Romania, and we could see some really breathtaking kicks. Jenni Kivioja sent her opponent to sleep in a very violent fashion. Shin to the chin – good night! Even when Holly Holm dethroned Ronda Rousey back in 2016 we didn’t see that tremendous effect of a single kick. Just take a look at her opponent’s eyes!
Jenni Kivioja, a Finnish competitor, defeated Jessica Forslund Reis from Sweden with a devastating right high kick at 2:38 of the first round in their women’s Featherweight fight.

It was the first fight of Jenni Kivioja at this tournament. She’d go on to beat Italy’s Fabiana Giampa from Italy on the scorecards in the semis before the decision loss to Julia Dorney from Germany in the finals. Jenni Kivioja won the silver medal but she is the part of a highlight reel to the rest of her life from now on. She might easily become new Holly Holm or Paige Van Zant if she maintains this pace in the future.
Now a quick explanation why Jenni was fighting so often – the IMMAF dubs itself “the global governing body for amateur MMA, working for Olympic recognition” so their events are structured to simulate how could possibly Olympic MMA look like. There were fourteen weight classes in this tournament which were contested during the three consecutive days of fighting.

IMMAF could play an important role in including MMA to the program of Summer Olympics (if it happens at all). But we are sure there are many of you who would like to see numerous superstars fighting for the Olympic gold. Just imagine how huge spectacle it would be! But you can’t ignore the fact that many fighters would be injured after the day one…
