The 23-year-old Jerome Rivera clashed in a flyweight bout against Brandon Royval at LFA 39 in Vail, Colorado, on Friday. It was a rough night for Rivera, just 40 seconds into their bout, Jerome suffered a nasty elbow injury as he was pushed to the cage and Royval followed after him as he was unaware of the injury and landed a head kick.
Jerome dropped down by a head kick as he was turning away, absorb some more strikes before the referee stopped the action.
Royval improved his pro-record to 7-3, while Rivera’s dropped to 7-2.
