Replay: Stipe Miocic ends Andrei Arlovski’s title dreams with a quick KO

Andrei Arlovski was on a six-fight winning streak heading into this matchup with Ohio’s own Stipe Miocic. Had AA won, a title shot was obvious. Ex-champ, fan favorite and a whole rising from the ashes-type storyline was too sexy to deny. It was #2 Andre versus #3 Stipe. This shit was on.

Then it was off in 54 seconds. Whoa. Stipe and Andre stood in the pocket and threw with bad intentions from the moment the bell sounded, but Stipe ended up catching Andrei behind the ear, took his legs out from under him, then finished Arlovski with a plethora of follow-up punches that couldn’t miss the mark if they tried.

After Herb Dean saved AA from more punishment, Stipe screamed for a title shot, and it seems like he’ll get it. Unless Overeem supplants him due to popular-ness.
