Olympic Roots and MMA Glory
At 38 years old, Cejudo brings a decorated background to RAF06. He became the youngest American Olympic gold medalist in wrestling history during the 2008 Summer Olympics and has also secured Pan American Games gold, a Pan American Champion title, and multiple US National Championships in freestyle wrestling.
In addition to his wrestling accolades, Cejudo’s MMA career is legendary. As a two-division UFC champion, he held belts in both flyweight and bantamweight divisions, cementing his status as one of the sport’s most accomplished fighters.
RAF06 and Upcoming Fights
While Cejudo’s opponent for RAF06 has yet to be announced, his return will headline an already stacked card. The RAF05 event kicks off Jan. 10 in Sunrise, Florida, featuring a 195-pound clash between former UFC middleweight champ Luke Rockhold and welterweight contender Colby Covington. Other matchups include UFC lightweight Arman Tsarukyan vs. PFL veteran Lance Palmer and Bo Nickal facing Yoel Romero.
Cejudo’s combination of Olympic-level wrestling and MMA experience makes him a standout headliner for RAF, giving the event significant star power and drawing attention from both wrestling and MMA communities alike.
