BJ Penn wants to fight GSP…again

Last night after I lost my December rent betting on the Jets giving -3 to the Dolphins (if you don’t know what that means then good, just shows that you’re not a degenerate gambler) I thought I would pop in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 to ease the pain. If you’re not familiar with Ultimate Alliance 2, just imagine a game in which after you play it…you can no longer can use the ‘I am not a geek’ defense. Every Marvel comic book superhero you can think of battling it out at indiscernible locations on the Eastern US coast. To further prove just how much of a geek you really are, sporadically throughout the game you are asked trivia questions that illustrate your comic book intellect and consequently lets everyone know how many years its been since you’ve last experienced the touch of a woman. One question that popped up was ‘What Marvel superhero goes by The Prodigy?‘. I looked at the list of multiple choice answers and upon seeing that BJ Penn wasn’t listed, I immediately turned off my Xbox in sheer disgust. Last night, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 failed

Chances are BJ Penn has led a far more interesting life than you. Dude has fought in every weight class in mixed martial arts (yeah, even heavyweight to fight Lyoto Machida). He’s my idol, a legend in MMA and everyday he shows people what he’s going to eat for dinner. In an interview with The Sun, BJ Penn says that he still wants to tangle with George St. Pierre despite his UFC 94 loss.

“I definitely want to fight GSP again.

“I’m biased and I have confidence in myself and I don’t think the fight would go anything like that if we fought again.

“I’ve got to defend the lightweight title and take on all challenges that make me better but if I get a chance to fight GSP again — even if it was a non-title fight — I’d jump at the opportunity.”
