WATCH: UFC 218 Countdown: Jose Aldo Vs. Max Holloway

Max Holloway (18-3 MMA), recently defeated Jose Aldo via third-round TKO victory at June’s UFC 212 event in Brazil, and become the UFC’s undisputed featherweight champion of the world.

That win marked Max “Blessed” Holloway’s eleventh victory in a row. Before defeating Aldo at UFC 212, Holloway had scored a third-round TKO victory over Anthony Pettis at UFC 206 in Toronto, Canada.

While before losing a fight against Max Holloway at UFC 212, Jose Aldo was coming off a unanimous win over Frankie Edgar in a rematch at UFC 200 for interim featherweight champion in July of 2016.

In the main headliner, Max Holloway will try to defend his UFC featherweight title in a rematch against former champion Jose Aldo. While in the co-main event, Heavyweight contenders Alistair Overeem face off Francis Ngannou.

Upcoming UFC 218 event is taking place at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan on December 2.
