Paige VanZant tweeted over the weekend that she was next for the impending UFC flyweight champion. But Former UFC women’s bantamweight title challenger Valentina Shevchenko has issued a challenge to Paige Vanzant.
Shevchenko ‘Bullet” has other intentions to drop down to the flyweight division, her more natural weight class. Following her controversial loss to Amanda Nunes at UFC 215 via split-decision in September.
Paige VanZant, famous former strawweight fighter recently announced that she would be making her 125-pound division debut in a title fight against the winner of “The Ultimate Fighter 26.”
My next fight is against the winner of the 125 division Ultimate Fighter. Don’t blink.

On Thursday, the Muay Thai ace Shevchenko challenged VanZant to a title eliminator on Twitter.
Don't rush girl.
If you want a title fight, first fight me. #125 #UFC #Letsdoit #dontblink @Mickmaynard2 @seanshelby @danawhite https://t.co/1ZFJCoNswV— Valentina Shevchenko (@BulletValentina) November 10, 2017
“Don’t rush girl,” Shevchenko wrote. “If you want a title fight, first fight me.”
Paige VanZant (7-3 MMA, 4-2 UFC) hasn’t exactly performed at a championship level of lately. She hadn’t fought since December of last year – when she suffered a first-round submission to Michelle Waterson at UFC on FOX 22.
Before the setback, Paige had earned an amazing head kick knockout victory over Bec Rawlings at UFC on FOX 21 in Vancouver.
In the meanwhile, Valentina Shevchenko (14-3 MMA, 3-2 UFC) has gone her past nine fights with both losses to Amanda Nunes in a narrow headliner at UFC 215 and UFC 196.
Shevchenko clearly would deserve an immediate title shot before Paige VanZant does. Shevchenko didn’t even ask for it and instead would earn it in a title eliminator against VanZant.
