Shirt That Khabib Wore For Dustin Sells At High Price
Khabib Nurmagomedov told the UFC 244 post-fight media his intentions of helping Dustin Poirier’s charitable efforts. After his victory, “The Eagle” wore the previous interim lightweight champion’s fight shirt following their bout at UFC 242 and promised to sell it and donate all of the money earned to The Good Fight Foundation.
Khabib humbly acknowledged to pundits that since he has a larger following than Poirier and more of a reach, the chances to auction the shirt for maximum value would be higher.
Khabib’s father Abdulmanap took to Instagram to share the news.
The Shirt Sold For Very Expensive
“Dustin Poirier T-shirt sold very expensive,” said Khabib’s father in the post.
Although the exact price that the shirt went for still remains unlisted, Khabib’s father did confirm that it was a lot.
Obviously, this is great news for Dustin and his charity ‘The Good Fight’, which attempts to end the pygmy water crisis in Uganda along with other charitable efforts.
The Good Fight
The Good Fight is a registered 501 nonprofit organization which was started by Dustin Poirier and his wife Jolie. At this time, they auction off Dustin’s fight kits after every match including his trunks, shirts, and hand wraps. Additionally, the iconic sports brand Everlast collaborated with Poirier’s efforts to become the official charity of the brand.
Not only does Poirier have the support of Khabib, fans, and Everlast, but they also have the support of UFC President Dana White.
Dana told the media that he would willingly match whatever the Khabib shirt price sold for and give the money to The Good Fight.
