Ronda Rousey has praised Most Valuable Promotions for signing Francis Ngannou while criticizing her former employer, the UFC.

Ngannou, recently released from the PFL, will fight former UFC fighter and PFL heavyweight tournament winner Philipe Lins in a five-round main event for MVP on May 16. Rousey herself is set to return to MMA against Gina Carano on the same card.

MVP Card Gets Rousey’s Approval

On Twitter, Rousey highlighted the MVP card and expressed her views on the UFC’s recent offerings. She wrote:

“Ngannou vs. Lins joins Rousey vs. Carano on Netflix, May 16! How’s that for a [bad ass motherf*cker] laden double headliner?”

She also directly criticized her old promotion:

“That’s what happens when you put fighters and fans ahead of shareholders. P.S. UFC’s White House card sucks!”

Rousey’s comment was accompanied by double middle finger emojis, clearly signaling her displeasure with the UFC’s recent decisions.

Since announcing her comeback, Rousey has praised MVP and its leadership under Jake Paul and Nakissa Bidarian. She emphasized the positive experience working with the promotion and the quality of the fight card featuring both her and Ngannou.

The event will stream on Netflix, offering fans a chance to watch the double headliner with Rousey and Ngannou in action. Rousey is expected to address the media further during a press conference on Tuesday, likely continuing to contrast her MVP experience with her time in the UFC.
