Coming off a win over Donald Cerrone in his last outing, MMA veteran Jim Miller returned to action against Alexander Hernandez on the main card of UFC Vegas 69 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Round 1
Miller steps in with his jab and misses. Hernandez goes for a leg kick and hits the guard. Miller and Hernandez get in the pocket and start trading. Miller goes for the leg kick. Miller is firing here. He lands a head kick. Miller keeps up the pressure. Hernandez lands a low kick. Miller goes for a multi-punch combo. Hernandez is on the back foot here. Hernandez feints and connects with a kick to the head. Hernandez with a straight cross. Hernandez with a body kick. Miller lands a counter right hook and has Hernandez hurt. Miller steps forward. Miller lands to the groin and a time-out. Back to action and light striking exchanges end the round.
Round 2
Hernandez goes for the front hook and lands the guard. Miller blitzes in with punches. He catches Hernandez’s leg and tries to take him down. Hernandez knees to the body. Hernandez with a strong overhand. Miller with a counter straight left. He jumps forward with an uppercut and moves to the side. Hernandez connects with a hook. Both men moving constantly to keep the striking flow dynamic. Hernandez throws a kick down thee middle to discourage Miller from moving forward. Miller turning up the pressure. Hernandez fires back with some elbows. Miller lands straight to the chin. The round closes with a competitive exchange.
Round 3
Miller gets an uppercut in. Hernandez lands a stinging jab. Miller counters aggressively and lands a heavy left hand that rocked Hernandez. Hernandez goes for the takedown. Miller defends it and manages to get back in the middle. Miller lands an outside leg kick. Miller with an inside low kick. Hernandez lands a 1-2 combo. Miller keeps the pressure high against Hernandez. Hernandez being more cautious and composed against an aggressive Miller. Miller lands a jab. Miller lands a hook. Hernandez lands a big shot and rocks Miller. Miller fires back with a heavy strike. Hernandez goes down and Miller gets his back. He has locked in a rear-naked choke but Hernandez survives. Hernandez throws some strikes to a downed Miller to close the fight.
