Fabricio Werdum Said My Full Focus Is On UFC-Sydney fight, Covington’s Antics Doesn’t Affect Me.

If you’re living under an MMA rock, you should know by now that Fabricio Werdum hit Colby Covington with a boomerang while in Sydney, promoting the UFC Fight Night 121 that goes down this weekend.

Covington went on Socia Media live right as it ended and went off on the Werdum for attacking him and has since pressed charges.

Werdum (22-7-1 MMA, 10-4 UFC) as he prepares for his upcoming bout with Marcin Tybura (16-2 MMA, 3-1 UFC) on Saturday at UFC Fight Night 121.

Werdum told MMAjunkie:

“I just talk about my fight. My focus, I’m here for a fight, Talking about my fight is best for me.”

Unexpected controversy happened this past Wednesday, and now court date in December is looming over him.

“I have focus for sure. This doesn’t affect nothing, my job. This is nothing for me,” Werdum said. “I’m just focusing on the fight. I have my career. I’m here to fight Marcin Tybura, and he’s a very tough guy. That’s it, man. Sunday, I want to put on a big show for the fans. That’s my big thing here.”

In return, Tybura told MMAjunkie: I am not taking easy on Werdum.

“I don’t think I could take advantage of him being part of the situation, I think he’ll still be focused on the fight, and it’ll be the toughest Fabricio Werdum ever.”

Werdum also emphasizes on why MMA is a growing culture of trash talk. Werdum reiterated his feelings how recently crown women’s strawweight Champ Rose Namajunas post-speech at UFC 217 is an example to all the fighters.

“She’s amazing, man,” Werdum said. I saw the interview. I posted it on my Instagram. She’s very emotional. She said very nice, real things. Why is this new generation starting to talk bad things and saying bad things about your country … this is no good. Martial arts is about respect. Why don’t we respect everyone?”

Do you guys think Werdum will win his upcoming bout against Marcin?
