Dana White shares his reaction to an incredible main event in Singapore.

This past Saturday, Jiri Prochazka became the new UFC Light Heavyweight champion when he defeated Glover Teixeira at UFC 275. Teixeira seemed to be getting the better of the young Czech samurai and was on his way to defending the title. However, Prochazka would manage to submit him with less than 30 seconds on the clock.

Teixeira appeared to be ahead on the judges’ scorecard and cruising his way to a win. Prochazka entered the fourth and fifth rounds for the first time in his career and secured a victory in the most dramatic way possible. In a close-fought battle that saw each man hold his own, ‘BJP’ would finish Teixeira with 28 seconds left in the fight.

The nail-biting thriller had the fans on the edge of their seats in anticipation of who would win. All Teixeira had to do was take the fight to distance and he would’ve likely retained his strap but the toll from an absolute war was wearing down on both men.

UFC President Dana White was also shocked at the dramatic result and shared his reaction to the main event.

“He’s choking him! He tapped? No way! No f**king way. Jiri f**king tapped him out. No way! What a f**king fight. What an absolute f**king war man. Sh*t my phone’s f**king blowing”

Glover Teixeira vs. Jiri Prochazka earned the Fight of the Night award and both fighters were awarded bonuses for an incredible show. Of all the ways one would’ve expected Prochazka to win, a finish in the final round of the fight, and that too by submission would’ve been the least likely prediction.

Jan Blachowicz will be waiting to get his shot at the new champion in his next fight.
