Cris Cyborg has claimed Dana White initiated the physical altercation with his wife.

UFC president Dana White was recently caught on camera getting into a scuffle with his wife, Anne, first reported by TMZ Sports. The pair were in Mexico to celebrate the end of 2022 and kick in the New Year when things heated up. They were allegedly heavily intoxicated and it was right after midnight when Anne slapped White. He responded by slapping her back multiple times.

Cris Cyborg claims Dana White was the aggressor in a recent personal incident

Reigning Bellator women’s featherweight champion Cris Cyborg took to her Twitter account to share her thoughts on the recent incident involving Dana White and his wife at a local nightclub in San Lucas Cabo.

“I watched the video and saw a larger man grab his wife by the arm aggressively and pull her into his personal space. That was the fist physical aggression in the video. @KevinI ‘when he chose to slap back after his wife first slapped him.'”

Cyborg & White have been feuding for over a decade

Dana White shared a rocky relationship with Cris Cyborg during her run in the UFC. White has fired multiple shots at Cyborg over the years in a feud dating back a decade.

In 2013, White flat-out refused to work with Cyborg as a professional mixed martial artist in the UFC due to her allegiance to former UFC light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz’s Primetime 360 Entertainment & Sports Management Inc. The promotion did not host the traditional weight class Cyborg competed in. As a result, the negotiations fell apart.

Cyborg is widely regarded as one of the greatest female MMA fighters of all time. She pioneered the rise of women in the sport and was one of the first two females to headline a card in a major promotion, which she did against Gina Carano in 2009.

She finally made her way to the UFC in 2016 and went on to rack up a five-fight win streak before dropping one to two-division UFC champion Amanda Nunes in Dec. 2018. She left the organization with a record of 6-1 and moved on to Bellator.
