Serra Speaks on McGregor's Antics From Joe Rogan to Ariel Helwani, to now Matt Serra, everyone has their own opinion on Conor McGregor. Especially due to recent news when he was caught on video punching an elderly male in a pub. Reports indicate that the dispute happened due to the man not accepting a free glass of McGregor's Proper 12 whiskey. While people like Helwani truly believe in Conor's sincerity in apologizing, Matt Serra, on the other hand, is not buying it. He took to his UFC Unfiltered podcast to speak on McGregor's recent antics. Serra Reacts to McGregor Apology On UFC Unfiltered, Serra and Jim Norton spoke about the culmination of negative headlines that Conor has been apart of. Like a lot of fans around the world, Serra needs to see some action behind McGregor's words. He questioned whether Conor is actually sorry or if he was sorry that he got caught. “Is he upset that he got caught or is he upset that he did it?” said Serra on the podcast. “He’s saying all the right things but only time will tell and his actions will tell in the future...He’s young. Hopefully, he gets his sh*t together.” Serra, like every fan, has every right to feel that way. It seems like the bad behavior of McGregor keeps snowballing. From the pub incident to smashing a fans cell phone in Miami, Conor seems to keep getting away with his antics with no real repercussion from the UFC. Serra Reacts to Joe Rogan Members of the UFC family have all reacted differently to McGregor. Joe Rogan took it lighthearted and laughed at the situation. He stated that he loved Conor for being a full-on Irish millionaire. He also indicated that there was an amount of brilliance about Conor. Serra didn't take well to those words. Voicing his opinion, Serra declared that he doesn't really care about how much McGregor has in the bank, it's about the kind of person he is. “I mean, Joe Rogan was talking about he’s got $100 million in the bank,’ and Dana’s talking about how smart he is. You know, I don’t give a f**k about that if he’s not a good person,” Serra said. “Who gives a f**k? Like dude, I’ll tell you right now, man, if I had a $100 million in the bank, I’m pretty much doing everything I’m doing right now. Like, is that what it’s really about?” Punishment never happens to McGregor in Serra's eyes. From throwing dollies to smashing cell phones, to the pub, Serra questioned how the UFC would handle anyone else that did those things. “The thing is, if another UFC fighter did that to an old man and that video came out, do they have their job still?” Serra questioned. “There’s right and there’s wrong. I’m not saying fire the guy, I’m just saying, repercussions.” Will McGregor Be Punished If history repeats itself, McGregor should get away clean with all of his negative actions. Serra is right in questioning what would happen if another fighter were to pull the antics that McGregor has. Lately, McGregor seems to be growing out of control... maybe it's time that the UFC stepped in and reprimanded him.
