https://youtu.be/Un4kz_u2Zfk UFC legends and former light heavyweight champions Tito Ortiz and Chuck Liddell are both out of retirement, and a trilogy bout between the two men seems inevitable at this point. Boxing powerhouse Golden Boy promotions has expressed their interest in promoting the bout, which would be their first ever plunge into the MMA game. “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” now has a date in mind for what he describes as “the hugest fight in MMA history” in an interview with TMZ: “Tito Ortiz vs. Chuck Liddell 3: the fight that all the fans wanted to see. I never got a fair shake when I was with UFC against Chuck. Any of the times I’ve ever fought against him.” “This is going to build and be the hugest fight in MMA history,” Mark my words.” “The Iceman” already owns two knockout victories over Ortiz while the two were the cream of the crop in the UFC’s light heavyweight division. Liddell took Ortiz’s belt, and eventually defended that belt against Ortiz in a rematch back at UFC 66. Their careers have gone in two very different directions, however, with Ortiz finishing out his career in Bellator where he racked up several impressive wins. Meanwhile, “The Iceman” suffered three knockout losses in a row, and retired from fighting in 2010. Now, the two legends are out of retirement and this trilogy makes the most sense for both men if their serious about fighting again. For Ortiz’s part, he says he’s healthy and ready to go as soon as Chuck signs the dotted line: “I feel healthy. I have a great surgeon out of Las Vegas that put me together. I’m the Million Dollar Man. Now let’s make a couple more million kicking Chuck Liddell’s ass.” Do you agree with Tito that this trilogy with “The Iceman” will be the “hugest” fight in MMA history?
