Randy Couture believes in the current UFC Light Heavyweight Champion! Daniel Cormier and Stipe Miocic are scheduled to face in the main event of UFC 226, in the UFC Heavyweight Division Title Fight, on July 7, in Las Vegas, Nevada. It is an interesting collision since DC fights as a Light Heavyweight fighter for a long period of time. He started competing as a Heavyweight and earned two decision victories versus Frank Mir and Roy Nelson. Miocic was always fighting in a Heavyweight division – is Daniel Cormier in trouble? But Randy Couture has something to say. “The Natural” believes he knows how could DC defeat Stipe Miocic. He also says Stipe might become only the second man to defeat Cormier. Here is what Randy Couture said for MMANyt: (quoted by MMAMania.com) “Obviously, I think Daniel started in the heavyweight division, he’s a big guy, he’s got a great wrestling pedigree and he’s facing arguably the best heavyweight out there right now in Stipe Miocic. It’s going to be an interesting, technical fight. I think if Daniel can find a way to make Stipe Miocic wrestle him as much as possible during the course of that fight, it’s going to be a good night for him. If Stipe uses his range and striking IQ to keep Daniel off of him, it could be a good night for Stipe. It’s one of those fights, toss a coin, who’s going to win. I’m a wrestler, so I tend to feel like that wrestling pedigree is going to work well for Daniel. But Stipe’s one of the toughest guys out there. He’s a great fighter.” Randy Couture is definitively a man who knows what it means to be a two-division champ. He has been the UFC Light Heavyweight Champ and the UFC Heavyweight Champ long before anybody even taught of attempting it. DC was a Strikeforce Heavyweight winner too. But you must know his super strength might not be enough versus Stipe due to extremely big weight difference. This will definitively be the biggest test of Cormier’s career. One thing is certain, DC knows how to clinch up and isolate punching power. This time, his opponent is an excellent wrestler. Miocic believes he will defeat Cormier. Is there a chance Cormier will outwrestle Miocic and slam him off the ground? We will see can he defeat the best UFC Heavyweight competitor in the world. Randy Couture claims you should toss a coin, do you agree with him?
