Cancer still sucks. Its still hard to believe the MMA world lost the late, great Kid Yamamoto only a few weeks ago. Over the weekend RIZIN and Miyuu Yamamoto paid tribute to in their own ways. On the RIZIN front, the JMMA promotion went above and behind the call of duty. Not for nothing, RIZIN showed nothing but class when respecting their fallen countrymen. Would the UFC ever do anything like this? Have they ever done anything like this tribute? Would Bellator? At RIZIN 13, Kid got a moment of silence then an excellent video tribute. If this doesn't hit you right in the feels, you have no heart. All of this for a fighter who never competed inside a RIZIN ring. Amazing. In case you weren't already cutting onions and or having your allergies act up, Kid's older sister Miyuu blessed us with one of the most memorable walkouts in MMA history. Less than a month after Kid passed away, a visibly emotional big sister did her best to emulate her younger's brother aura during her walkout. It was emotional, beautiful, powerful and fucking cool all at the same time. To top it all off, Miyuu Yamamoto then went out and won her fight. Again, amazing. Miyuu's walkout RIZIN's moment of silence for Kid The complete RIZIN video tribute Death comes for us all and there is no right way to deal with it. We all grieve in our own ways. Especially with a sudden passing like Kid Yamamoto, it's hard to box it all up and process it in a normal way. What RIZIN and Miyuu Yamamoto did was excellent and a fitting tribute to a late, great member of the MMA community.
