Miesha Tate Shares Her Thoughts On Ronda Rousey One of the greatest rivalries in women's MMA is between Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate. Although the two are not active competitors anymore, there is still a bit of heat there. Since retiring from MMA in 2016, Miesha Tate has stayed busy in MMA. It was on her radio show, MMA on SiriusXM, in which she spoke on the legacy of Ronda Rousey. She gave her thoughts on Rousey's comments that fans don't deserve to hear about her legacy. "It’s very Ronda-esque. Look, she’s not wrong even though it’s a bit arrogant but I think that’s the style that people have appreciated about Ronda. It’s not necessarily something I appreciate about Ronda but when you talk about her legacy this does sum it up in one quote, really. It’s that she knows she has value and interest but she also really doesn’t give a s--t what anybody else wants to hear." Tate would go on to express that she felt as if Ronda was closed off, and difficult to read. She then went on to say that she felt as if Ronda was being emotional in these comments, and what that could mean. "When I listen to this, she almost sounds emotional. I don’t think she’s entirely happy with her legacy. The point that Ronda about us not deserving to hear it and about the vulnerability, I think it speaks again to point that she left the sport worse than she entered in." Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate coached against each other on TUF. They also fought two times in their MMA careers, with Rousey winning both times. Rousey has all but retired since losing to Amanda Nunes, choosing the path of the WWE. Miesha Tate retired following a loss to Raquel Pennington.
