Khabib Nurmagomedov Reflects On Sport Following Death Of Boxer The combat sports realm was rocked by the death of Russian boxer Maxim Dadashev, over the weekend. Fellow Russian, and UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov seems to be taking it especially hard. Khabib is one of the best fighters in the world, with an undefeated record. However, Dadasev was also undefeated, going into his contender fight on Friday night. Although his corner finally called a stop to the action, it would eventually be too late. Now, Khabib is looking at this situataion for what it means for the sport. Subsequently, he put out a heartfelt message on Instagram, giving his respects to the fallen fighter. "This case proves once again that sport is not the most important thing, there are things that are much more important. Every time I see or hear such news, I begin to hate this sport in which we beat each other. Everything is temporary, fame, money, titles, and our whole life, we all leave this world, no one will remain. It is worth thinking. Patience to all relatives and friends of Maxim. Do good and may the Most High reward us for our deeds and deeds in the next life, and forgive us our sins." These are very kind words from the champ. The circumstances surrounding this situation are truly tragic. Clearly, the fighter's corner was very attentive of their fighter. Unfortunately, it was too late, as Dadashev already suffered damage. The damage that was already taken was ultimately too much. Khabib Nurmagomedov paid his respects, ahead of his UFC 242 bout with Dustin Poirier. Hopefully this will be the last instance of something like this, for a long time.
