Mike Winklejohn Responds To 'Narcissistic' Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone's Comments Former UFC title contender Donald Cerrone shared how much hatred is leading up to his upcoming fight against Mike Perry in his recent appearance at Joe Rogan’s podcast. Cerrone felt dumbfounded when he was offered a fight against Perry, who recently joined Jackson-Winkeljohn Academy in Albuquerque, New Mexico where Donald trained for over a decade, but as of late 'Cowboy' has been working out at his own BMF Ranch. Cerrone voiced his concern that he has no issue sharing an Octagon with Perry but not comfortable sharing a gym as well bashed his owners Mike Winklejohn and Greg Jackson for mismanagement. https://www.instagram.com/p/BnEs45qBc0e/?utm_sourceig_embed&utm_campaignembed_loading_state_control According to Mike Perry, Cerrone moved back to Denver because 'no one is kissing his ass' at Jackson-Wink anymore. Now Mike Winkeljohn responded back saying 'Narcissistic' Cerrone isn't loyal to anybody and share his side of the story: (Via MMAJunkie) “Loyalty is two sides,” the coach told MMAjunkie. “‘Cowboy’ is not loyal to anybody in the gym. He’s on his own. He does his own thing. He has not, from what I can remember in the last 10 years, ever helped anybody out with their own camp. He’s as narcissistic as they come.” Winkeljohn said he hasn't trained with Cerrone since 2010 and confirmed an issue has been much more in-depth than Mike Perry. “I put up with it for a long time because Greg has the biggest heart in the world,” Winkeljohn said. “He’s like my little brother. But at the same time, it was causing division. “And by the way, of the teams that went out there, I think it’s 100 percent of people lost, because ‘Cowboy’ wants to do what he wants to do on his timeframe, and it didn’t work for the fighters that train out there at the gym. So that made our percentage look bad, because we lost a lot of fights because of it. “If Perry wasn’t at my gym, I’m so much happier now that I got rid of the division in my gym (and) somebody that doesn’t want to help others and wants to do his own thing. It has absolutely nothing to do with Perry, and everything to do with Perry.” Cerrone also revealed that how Jackson-Wink wrestling coach, Chad Smith used to sell the PEDS to college student wrestlers. https://twitter.com/GIFsZP/status/1034896098723287040 Mike defended Chad for PED allegations. “I’m going to defend Chad Smith because our winning percentage was high when he moved here,” was Mike Winklejohn’s response. Winkeljohn says 'Cowboy' need to visualize the scenario through his perspective, probably would have made the same call as he did. “What would ‘Cowboy’ do if it was his gym? Well let me think,” he said. “If I wanted to go into his gym use it when I wanted to, not be respectful, not help others, pull people and coaches away from the gym, and do things for myself, and then tell the new gym not to work with this person they’ve been working with because it’s all about yourself, what would ‘Cowboy’ do? I know what ‘Cowboy’ would do: The same thing I did, and that was basically, ‘Sorry kids, (expletive) that.’” Cerrone and Perry set to battle on November 10th in the co-headliner at UFC Fight Night 139 in Denver, Colorado.
